Husband arraigned for stealing spouse’s cash

One Kazeem Adetayo was on Friday arraigned before an Osun State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo for stealing the sum of N70,000 belonging to his wife, Omowumi Adewale.

The 50-12 months-antique Kazeem become arraigned on two counts bordering on stealing.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Kayode Adeoye, defined that the accused committed the offences on October 6, 2019, around 6pm in the Owode place of Osogbo.

According to him, the accused stole N70,000 belonging to Omowumi at her house.

The offences have been said to be in  contravention  of sections 516 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Code, Cap 34 Vol. Il, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.

Kazeem pleaded not guilty to the fees.

The recommend for the accused, Okobe Najite, implemented for his bail, with a promise to offer a dependable surety.

Okobe also knowledgeable the court that the case turned into a home count, including that the grievance turned into ready for an out-of-court settlement.

But Omowumi denied planning to discontinue the case.

In his ruling, Magistrate Taofiq Badmus, admitted the accused to bail inside the sum of N100,000 with one surety within the like sum.
